Emma Jarvis

Emma Jarvis, founder of The THB Academy and CEO of The Hair Base Salon est in 1999.

With over 25 years of experience, Emma has a wide range of skills and a deep understanding of the hairdressing industry. She lectured for two years at college level, trained over 80 students in NVQ levels 2 and 3, and ran masterclasses in colour, styling and business in person and online.

Emma’s salon is multi-award-winning; she has been a finalist in the Great Lengths Hair Extension Awards and recently won Best Salon Awards 2022, Best Salon Refit, Best Customer Experience and Best Colour Salon. Emma was a finalist in The Creative Head Awards 2023 and The Outstanding Contribution Award. In 2008, Emma also won The Spirit of Enterprise Award for Continual Development and was a finalist in many others.

Emma’s salon, The Hair Base, has achieved five stars for customer service with Phorest Software for five consecutive years and was Awarded 2nd in the UK in 2022 for Vish Waste Warriors, a competition for the best salon in the U.K. for minimal waste and being a sustainable salon.

Emma holds two Colour Masters with Schwarzkopf and Redken; she is a podcast guest, industry speaker and business mentor and regularly holds live training sessions online, sharing knowledge and support to the ever-changing hairdressing industry. Emma was featured on the Future Stars stage with Loreal at Salon International, showcasing her skills to a vast audience. 
Emma’s fun facts. She once auditioned to be on The Apprentice and jumped out of a plane raising £12k for charity.

Emma’s passion lies in education. She loves to develop others and help give them confidence, knowledge and skills to unlock their potential and achieve anything they want.
